Savannah, ca. 1930. Hotel Savannah located opposite Johnson Square on Bull Street. It boasted a radio in every room. Monument in square dedicated to Nathanael Greene. LaFayette laid the cornerstone in 1825 and the monument unveiled in 1830. Square named for Robert Johnson, Royal Governor of South Carolina, a friend of Oglethorpe's.
